Further afield, glampers can enjoy a leisurely hike or bike ride along the Cataract Trail, or they can explore the Elora Gorge and Conservation Area which offers hiking trails, kayaking, and tubing. There is also a swimming hole at the Elora Quarry Conservation Area. Fergus is best known for the annual Scottish Festival and Highland Games, held in August, which represent the largest gathering of clans in the world outside Scotland and Cape Breton Island.
