Cozy Tipi with a Hot Tub and a Sauna in Markdale, Ontario





This tipi village is the perfect option for recreation or glampers looking to get back to nature with an added touch of 21st-century amenities. The tipi is in a wooded location in Markdale, Ontario. Suitable for year-round use, the hot tub is closed during the cold months Mid Jan-mid March due to the fact it can freeze, and guests can choose between three different sizes of tipi. There are tipis that can accommodate 10 guests, 6 guests, or 5 guests respectively. There is a utility building with two hot showers and five flush toilets, and three drinking water taps for guests to use. Outdoor kitchen with propane stove, wood fired oven, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, coffee maker, electrical kettle, cooking utensils. All towels and toiletries are provided by the host.
Each tipi has an overall circular foam mattress on a wooden circular platform around a central firepit that could be used for cooking and heat. The interior is kept warm with an indoor fire pit, much like the traditional tipis of old. The fire pit keeps the space warm and cozy for guests while giving them an authentic outdoor experience. There are some trails and game fields in the property and plenty of other activities close by such as canoeing/kayaking, fishing, golfing, swimming, horseback riding, snowshoeing, skiing, and many more.
Guests also have access to an outdoor hot tub that is available provided the temperature does not fall below zero degrees centigrade. There is also a sauna, which is open all year, regardless of the temperature. Hot tube requires 48 hours pre heating, sauna is heated with firewood by the guests within 45 mins, and the maintenance of the heat is the responsibility of guests who wish to use it. Spa facility is used privately and by appointment 2 hours time slots per each half day. You can order breakfast $10 per person including fruits, egg sandwiches, coffee/tea, and there is a vegan option available upon request or other meals $25 per person.
Guests should make arrangements and pay for pets prior to arrival.
Towels and toiletries are provided, as well as dishes, a tea kettle, and a delicious breakfast each morning. Outside, guests can relax after a long day of activities and excursions in the hot tub or enjoy the barbecue on a warm summer's evening in the garden area. There is ample parking, as guests will need a car during their stay.
For those who need Wi-Fi during their stay, there is no Wi-Fi inside the accommodation, as it's in an EMF-free zone. Guests can walk a few minutes to around the chalet, to access the Wi-Fi.
In case pf house rules being neglected, any damages occur, or if there are missing items, the host will charge the guest's credit card accordingly. The guests will receive the house rules at the time of confirmation.

- Guests should bring their own firewood, food items to be cooked on fire, skewers or grilling baskets, matches, kindling, and portable cell phone chargers.
- Children above 2 are charged the same amount as adults.
Glance of RULES (Must Be Followed):
1- After you use the lantern for any purpose close them to avoid battery waste and keep them closed (off) during your sleep time and away from fire!! They are plastic and can melt.
2- Garbage must be separated to organic (green bin), recycle (blue bin), litter (black bin) DO NOT MIX
And no garbage on the ground including cigarettes butts!
3- You should use the light grey sleeping bag insert inside the sleeping bag, and you should use pillow cases on top of the pillow those are washed after each guest we do not wash the sleeping bags or pillows.
4- Hot tub is 3 season when the temperature is above zero. Before using the hot tub please be considerate and take a shower, if your one-time usage causes the need to change the water an extra $200 charge may apply.
5- Please clean after yourself in the facility building, wash your dishes before you leave and dry them, and leave everything the way you received them intact in your tipi before your check out.
6- This is a quiet Eco-Retreat keep it quiet, peaceful, and clean for other villagers or we have the right to remove the outlaws' group from the property.
7- DO NOT move the picnic tables! Generally, any of the unfollowed rules cause extra jobs for our staff and additional costs so if that happens additional charges will be applied to your credit card.
8- We do not allow unpaid visitors, arrange with us if you are inviting daytime guests $40 (9am-3pm or 3-9pm) to the property or you will have to pay a penalty on top of the guest fee.
