DETAILED UNIT DESCRIPTION AND INCLUSIONS
This is the second of two floating units located directly on the Richelieu, at the Marina Rose Des Vents in Lacolle, in southern Quebec, 4 km from the borders of the state of New York and Vermont and only 58 km from Montreal. It is in the “ready-to-camp with electricity (30 amps)” category and dogs are welcome.
The floating platform measures 12 x 26 feet and is permanently attached to the dock.
The cabin is 10 x 12 feet in size and includes:
-Two single bench seats with slatted bed bases, one of which can stretch into a double bed (capacity to sleep 3, but accommodation is ideal for 2)
- The following kitchen equipment : compact fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, toaster, kettle, filter coffee maker and Keurig coffee maker with reusable k-cup, blender, basic crockery for 3 people, frying pan and/or cast iron wok for private barbecue, necessary for washing dishes (ecological soap), dog bowl, side table (long foldable bench)
-A water dispenser with 3 gallons of well water. (Running water is available on the platform and hot water in the toilet block)
-Small A/C with remote control and small heater/fan
-Towels for 3 people and bath amenities (hair dryer, first aid kit, EcoTrail shampoo/shower gel sample)
-Bedding for 3 people (4 pillows, single and double sheet set) BLANKETS NOT INCLUDED.
-Storage spaces (bench drawers, small shelves)
-Windows that open on 4 sides (anti-UV polymer films)
The large front terrace, measuring 12' x 10', includes : 2 zero-gravity lounge chairs; A table with extension and 2 chairs; An electric mosquito repellent device
The rear balcony includes : Outdoor barbecue with integrated cooking ring, barbecue utensils and propane gas included ; Safety bench with two lifejackets for adults
PARKING FEES NOW CHARGED WHEN YOU RESERVE ($12.18/DAY + TAX), allow access to the following infrastructure:
-Parking and space to store bicycles
-Toilets, sinks, showers, hot water available only at the harbor master's office/sanitary block, less than a minute's walk away (laundry room at the municipality's purchasing center)
-Wifi approximately 43 Mbit/sec in the accommodation and up to 72 Mbit/sec at the harbor master's office/sanitary block
-Salt swimming pool (in service around the beginning of June and not heated)
-Outdoor fireplace (wood on sale at the marina)
-Gazébo, picnic tables, briquette barbecue
NB : Additional fees will be charged by the marina to moor your small craft to a dock (for example a jet ski). Availability and prices to be checked with the marina.
AVAILABLE AS AN OPTION when booking on our website:
-Daily access to 2 small paddle boats (a paddle board and a double pedal kayak) available all season for clients, for $45/day + taxes. To be used in calm weather (there may be strong winds and swell), one at a time per accommodation, 2 hours maximum at a time per boat with exceptions, subject to availability and according to the safety rules mentioned in the contract rent.


NOT INCLUDED/TO BRING :
-Your blankets: NB: As the accommodation is not insulated/soundproofed, and the heating method is auxiliary (small heater), it is strongly recommended to bring very warm blankets in low season.
- Flotation vest for children under 12 years old, mandatory on the docks, in the swimming pool and on the water
-Mosquito repellent lotion (may be necessary at certain times of the summer despite the electric mosquito repellent)
-Your equipment for the many possible activities in the region (diving/exploring wrecks, cycling, fishing, bird watching)
