Welcome to your jungle escape 2 hours from Medellín.

Your own basic & small cabin close to Pailania on 10 acres of paradise, the property features multiple waterfalls, mountain spring water, natural swimming pool, great views over the valley, and lots of green natural space.

We have a flower garden, organic food garden, organic food forest. Almost our entire terrain is covered with trees, which is also our goal. We have primary forest but also secondary forest with fruit trees!

If you're looking for simplicity and total immersion in nature, that's what you'll find. Plenty of water. Lots of plants. Lots of birds and butterflies. We've seen monkeys, toucans, and even a sloth. We love creating a safe haven for these creatures. We have many waterfalls on our finca, some over 8 meters high. All of these are open to visit and enjoy.

It's not a party place! Come enjoy the pool, the waterfalls, and the scenery. No loud music; we respect nature.

The cottage has two small bedrooms: one with a double bed and one with a bunk bed. The cottage has a balcony with a sofa, hammock, and a table that can comfortably seat three people. The weather is warm during the day and cool at night. A wood-fired BBQ is available by the natural pool, which is best used during the day. There's also a wood-fired BBQ next to the cabin.

The cottage is simple and very basic! The kitchen, shower, and amenities are basic.

The photos were taken in the summer, the dry season. If you're traveling in the winter/rainy season, the water and the scenery may look different.

We currently don't offer food! It's very difficult to find a balance between the costs of preparing food. Restaurants aren't close by, so we think self-catering is best.

This is a property geared towards nature lovers. Furthermore, we're located in the jungle. It's important to realize that there are many animals in the jungle. Some are enjoyable, such as monkeys, sloths, and birds. Others are less so, such as snakes, spiders, and scorpions.

The jungle creates high humidity, so keep this in mind. There is a lot of water on the property and underground. There is a lot of rain at night, and the sun often shines very brightly during the day. This also causes high humidity.

We recommend staying at least 3-4 nights. A full day should be spent relaxing by the pool and taking a tour of the finca. The second day should be spent on a cacao tour. The third day should be spent on an activity such as rafting, canyoning, paragliding, or rappelling. We have the contacts to help you make reservations. There's so much to do in the area, including beautiful hikes to the Santo Domingo and Melcocho Rivers. Don't be afraid to spend two weeks here; you'll run out of time!

If it rains heavily overnight and into the morning, we'll open the pool a little later in the morning for guests. This is because the water is cleaner and more attractive. This is due to the waterfall that flows into the pool. We ask for your understanding, as this is beyond our control. However, we've had a wonderful swim every day since we opened!

It's very important to know that you need to climb many stairs from the parking lot to the cabin! So this place is not suited for people who have difficulties with that and we recommend traveling light!

Traveling from Medellín is very easy. With the Flota Granada to San Francisco your journey takes 2.5 hours. The bus drops you off at the door of the finca. Very easy and cheap. I will send further instructions after confirming the reservation.

The entire road is paved up to the property. From the entrance, there's a track marker. There are photos in the ad to see what it looks like, so you can decide yourself

The parking lot is small, but sufficient if you have one car. We have two cabins in total, and I live here myself and have a car. The parking lot is large enough for three cars.

Other things to note
If you have pets, please message me before booking. I have two dogs. They play well with many dogs, but can be annoying against other males, which is not nice. They are great with people! Pets are not allowed on textiles: mattresses, pillows, sheets, or beds. We provide beautiful bed linens and want to ensure they are clean for the next guests.

We also have chickens (with fresh eggs), ducks and cats.

Regular Wi-Fi is available, besides that we've got Starlink.

There are so many activities to do here: rafting, a cacao tour, canyoning, abseiling, paragliding. After booking I will be happy to help.

We have two cabins for rent, one of which is this one. The other cabin sleeps two. The natural pool is shared with the other cabin. If privacy is important, there are other waterfalls on the property where you can also swim and relax. We also live on the same property and love to jump in the waterfalls.

Explore Río Melcocho’s crystal-clear turquoise pools, hike Valle de las Cascadas for 1 or 2 days with a guide, swim at La Poceta natural pool, or go rafting on the Calderas, Verde and Santo Domingo rivers. You can also visit a cacao farm or traditional panela sugarcane mill, try paragliding, canyoning or multi-day horseback treks, and book a relaxing waterfall-side massage.
