Situated on the west coast of Costa Rica, Flamingo sits on the stunning coastline of the Guanacaste province. The property overlooks Playa Conchal, a beautiful beachfront with turquoise waters and golden sand. This lush and tropical landscape is also home to the untouched Palo Verde National Park, a 3-hour drive from the property, and the quaint and peaceful beaches of Playa Grande are only a 40-minute drive south along the coastline. The larger town of Santa Cruz is a one-hour drive east and can be accessed on the way to Paloverde, Playa Hermosa is 30km away and easily accessible by car.

Playa Conchal, a one-mile walk from the property, has a range of activities available from snorkeling trips by boat, ATV rental for self-guided tours around the area, and horseback riding through the tropical surrounding area is popular. Fishing charters can also be arranged on the beachfront here. Reasonably priced massages are available at Reserve Conchal resort. Playa Pirates is a half an hour walk, and at low tide, visitors are able to cross the sandbar to Pirate's Cave for local seafood kebabs in a unique setting. Playa Dantas, a half an hour drive from the property, welcomes guests to the black sand beach as well as local establishments renting paddle boards, kayaks, and mountain bike equipment. From January through till March, the large, peaceful sea turtles can be seen from a distance at night laying their eggs in the sand.
