The glamping site has direct access to the North Sea, where you can find Denmark’s only fossilized coral reef, fossils and amber, mushrooms, rare herbs, red deer and migratory birds, dune plantations and much more. You’ll also have the opportunity to bring out your inner cowboy. The site has are ten great Icelandic horses, just waiting to get out into the terrain. The area in which you will be riding in is called Vigsø Bugt, which with its protected and untamed dune landscape provides the scenery for an unforgettable experience on horseback. Daily trips are divided into small groups that are adapted to the skills of the riders, which means that everyone can participate, regardless if you like a wild ride or a quiet, romantic sunset ride. The campsite also has its own skilled instructor. There are different daily rides, including trips in the dunes, bathing on horseback, day-trips with seven hours of riding and sometimes also three-day trips to Bulbjerg with overnight stays and all meals included. Fishing is a favorite activity when people stay at this site. Every year, more than 5000 anglers choose to stay in specially furnished cottages on the campsite, and thus, the site has become the gathering point for anglers in Thy. The new 300 square meter filleting house is a great setting for spending time together when you come back from the trip to The Yellow Reef and it is time to clean the fish. In the house, there are also 16 large freezers with good freezing capacity for fast-freezing of the catch. In the mini-market, you will find the anglers’ own shop, which has all the right equipment, from spinners to pirns and from lines to fish landing nets. Here, you will also find everything for your lunch pack as well as beer, wine, water, chocolate and freshly baked bread. The site has a pool area where you will find four heated pool, water slides, pool bar, sun terraces and a 100 feet long surfing hill, the longest surfing hill on any Danish campsite. The enormous solar collector system of more than 3.500 sq, feet area, heats the water to a pleasant temperature rarely under 28º C. in the period from June to September.
