There are also fishing opportunities and full-day hikes available along Lake Taveras. Glampers who are interested in heading into the center of Santiago de Los Caballeros can visit the Parque Zoologico Gurabo, discover local art galleries or take a stroll through Duarte Park. For the water sports enthusiasts, this location is a great spot for kite surfing, as guests will be only a five-minute walk to the ultimate spot for launching their kite onto Lake Taveras. Guests can also bring their bikes for a true outback adventure. Lastly, the river Yaque del Norte, which runs from Jarabacoa into Lake Taveras, is a highly popular destination for river rafting and just around the corner from this glamping site.
