Dorrigo National Park camping and more!

While Dorrigo National Park camping is only about an hour from Coffs Harbour, it truly feels like another planet. Part of the Gondwana Rainforest, Dorrigo National Park is home to amazing waterfall hikes, bushwalking, picnic spots, and of course, wildlife. While just north of Dorrigo, amid the rolling farmland, is Dangar Falls. Dangar Falls is a lovely waterfall with a drop of about 30 meters and a viewing platform and a walking trail to the bottom of the falls. If you’re looking to explore the national park, you can begin at the Dorrigo Rainforest Centre. Here you can see the many exhibitions on the flora and fauna of the park before heading out. There are many walking trails in the park, ranging from the Lyrebird Link track, the Wonga Walk to Crystal Shower Falls, the Satinbird Stroll, the Rosewood Creek track, and the Red Cedar Falls track, which takes you to the largest waterfall in the park. Local Dorrigo events include the Dorrigo Show, held each year in April, with animal exhibits, food stalls, and rides. There is also a popular three-day Dorrigo Folk and Bluegrass Festival in October. No matter when you decide to go camping, Dorrigo is a destination that has something for everyone. From bushwalking to waterfall hikes, you’ll find no end to the adventure in Dorrigo.
