Scenic views
This enchanting glamping property and the village surrounding it will leave you with an unforgettable impression. There is never a bad time to visit during the year - winter or summer, fall or spring. Winter will usually bring temperatures of about 20°C during the day so you can hardly call it winter. Blue skies and sun await you in the fertile Elqui valley, which is full of vineyards like "Cavas del Valle" and "Falernia".

But there is more than just wine in this beautiful area. Many fruit trees grow here, including peach trees, apricot trees, fig trees, avocado trees and more. Traditionally the fruits were dried to preserve them. Due to the special micro-climate of the valley, you’ll also find exotic fruits like papayas or chirimoyas. Other typical products are marmalades, syrups, juices and sweets - all homemade with traditional recipes. The local herbs are used for cooking or for healing purposes - like teas, spices or herb cushions. Other typical products are knitting wares or weaving products.
Activities near Pisco Elqui
Walk around the village and discover its beautiful "plaza" with its shady old trees and colorful streets, taking a break to try one of the fresh fruit juices or a cold beer or simply rest a bit and watch life, Andean style.

The pisco distillery Pisquera Mistral (right at the plaza) offers tours and samples, and across the street you can find the handicraft center (pueblo artesanal) of Pisco Elqui. Other destinations might be the grave and museum of Gabriela Mistral (winner of literary nobel prize) in Montegrande. You can also take a tour around the pisco distillery "Los Nichos" (4 kms direction to Horcón) or visit the handicraft market in Horcón.

Of course you can also discover the surrounding area, the beautiful Elqui Valley, by going horse riding, trekking and biking, or you can take tours to the Elqui valley and the neighboring valley of Cochiguaz. There are also guided tours by car or by bike to the "termas" natural springs (La Hedionda), and there are motorbike tours, bike rentals (Enduro KTM) and astronomy tours to enjoy the clearest skies in the world.
