Guests here can spend their days hiking, fishing, biking, and enjoying the fresh New River Valley air from the comfort of this fantastic location. The New River has long been prized for its fishing and for those guests who enjoy the activity can spend their days down by the water. Guests can hope to catch all kinds of bass—large and smallmouth, striped, white, and more—walleye, perch, catfish, and much, much more. If guests aren't avid anglers, they can still enjoy their time down by the river, sunbathing or perhaps even cooling down in the waters on a hot summer's day.
Hiking is really a great way to explore the region, with miles of trails to choose from. Guests can, of course, take a walk along the river, but there are also many designated trails around the property. To the north, the Radford Mountain Bike Park has 100 acres overlooking the Claytor Lake Dam, where guests can hike, bird watch, and bike. The park has 12 trails each around 10-miles long specifically designated for mountain biking. Other popular hiking trails in the New River Valley include Huckleberry Trail, the New River Trail, and the Pandapas Pond Trails.
