North Powder is a quaint, sleepy little city in Union County, northern Oregon. It is located just a few miles east of Umatilla National Forest, where popular activities and pastimes include canoeing, camping, fishing, and cross-country skiing. To the east of North Powder lie the rugged canyonlands and high mountain lakes of Wallowa-Whitman National Forest, where visitors can partake in hiking, fishing, and camping.
