The horse farm cabin is based in the city of Dunn in Harnett County, North Carolina and it makes for a serene getaway in an authentic country setting in America’s South East. The horse farm encompasses spacious green fields and large stables with white picket/fenced paddocks. The city, once known as Averasborough, was the site of the Battle of Averasborough during the Civil War and was home to William C Lee, nicknamed “The Father of the U.S Airborne”, who commanded the 101st Airborne during WW1 and WW2. Dunn is located three hours’ drive away from Charlotte and just a 40-minute drive from Raleigh.

Harnett County is an ideal glamping location thanks to its natural wonders and all-year round activities that everyone can enjoy. Guests should take the half an hour drive to the spectacular Raven Rock State Park and marvel at the waterfalls or kayak along the river. The Cape Fear River Trail is one of the most scenic mountain biking routes in the state as well as being a great route for walking. Guests interested in the local history should visit the site of the Battle of Averasborough and its museum as well as the William C Lee Airborne Museum in Dunn for an inspiring and educational day out. The five mile Dunn-Erwin Rail-trail connects the two communities by a crushed stone path and attracts casual walkers, dog walkers, and cyclists while passing farmland and cotton fields.
