Scenic views
South of Tampa, Florida, this glamping property sits on the water awaiting guests on a seven-acre lot. Originally purchased in 1944, two Manatee County residents turned this property along the Braden River into a fish camp where locals and travelers alike could come to enjoy the water and the fresh air. The property was later designated as a nature preserve, and as a result, today guests can occasionally spot some of the protected local species around the property. There are owls, hawks, vultures, osprey, the occasional eagle, and many other birds, as well as plenty of alligators. From this unique, waterfront location, the fishing is excellent, the sunsets are spectacular, and the family fun never ends.

Guests come to stay at this property for its unparalleled waterfront location. Fishing is first and foremost one of the more popular activities here. Guests can buy bait on the property and head out to sit on the dock or in a fishing kayak to catch lunch. Bass is very prevalent in these waters, but guests might also hope to catch bluegill, crappie, and a few other species of fish.

Other guests may not be avid anglers, but they can still get out on the water. The property has canoes and one or two-person kayaks, Jon boats, and pontoons for rent that are perfect for a bit of morning exercise or just plain fun out on the water. The hosts also have eco-tours on a Duffy Electric Boat as well as sunset, morning, and lunch tours to Linger Lodge.

In the afternoon, guests can head over to one of the many beaches on the Gulf and Sarasota Bay for some sun, surf, and sand. The blue waters and soft sandy beaches of Bradenton Beach, Anna Maria Island, Longboat Key, or Coquina Beach not only make for great photo ops but are also perfect places to cool down after kayaking, have a picnic with the family, or simply a day of fun in the sand.
