Surrounded on all sides by scenic woodland in the heart of the Chattahoochee National Forest but also just minutes from the city of Ellijay, guests are in prime location to experience a range of exciting activities. Fall is a popular time to visit Ellijay, with the stunning foliage and the annual Georgia Apple Festival that provides arts, crafts, live music, and delicious apples. Guests can also enjoy a taste of the local fruit at the Red Apple Barn, the R and A Orchards, and the Hillcrest Orchards. Wine lovers can visit the beautiful Engelheim Vineyard and the Cartecay Vineyards, which are both within easy reach of the property. For the avid sportsperson, the Chattahoochee National Forest boasts 850 miles of recreational trails, which are just waiting to be explored. Guests can go hiking, biking, horseback riding, or simply enjoy a scenic picnic under the shade of the trees and admire the wonderful wildlife. Alternatively, the park is an excellent spot for watersport activities such as swimming, fishing, waterskiing, and boating. The meandering Ellijay River is another great destination with rafting, kayaking, and tubing, among a few of the activities on offer.
