A quirky little town in the Waikato region of North Island, Tirau is one of the many unique villages in New Zealand. There a number of large buildings constructed in peculiar fashions; you’ll see iron buildings constructed in the form of animals like sheep and dog. You’ll even see cool sculptures, including a praying mantis pushing and cow pushing a shopping cart. Be sure to visit Castle Pamela, home to one of the largest doll, toy, and train collections in New Zealand.
