Alto Paraguay

A region devoid of a real population, Alto Paraguay is a great place to get lost in the wonders of the wilderness. That’s because there’s not much else in the region aside from landscapes and wildlife. That said, you’ll find a number of national parks in Alto Paraguay, including the Defensores del Chaco National Park, the largest national park in Paraguay. One of the best things about Paraguay’s national parks is that jaguars and other rare species inhabit pretty much all of them. There is also Parque Nacional Rio Negro. The park is home to various that makes it ideal for hiking activities, including trails that cross creeks, lakes, deep gorges, and the Rio Negro. You’ll be so immersed in Alto Paraguay’s nature; you won’t even have to turn your phone off.
