Ayacucho

A city famous for its colonial churches and folk handicrafts, those visiting Ayacucho will find a city deeply attached to its Peruvian roots. Among the city's many highlights include the Cathedral Basilica of St. Mary, Ayacucho—one of many vibrantly decorated churches that make the city’s charm. Just north of Ayacucho is Otishi National Park. The protected natural reserve is home to The Angel Falls waterfall, a ridiculous waterfall that falls from a mountain’s summit. The summit’s peak is usually covered in clouds, making the waterfall seem like its emptying from the sky.
