Intimate Rainforest Bungalows along the Yanayacu River of Peru
Located in a small, secluded rainforest lodge, the bungalows are very comfortable with guaranteed observation of wildlife (monkeys, birds, sloths, pink dolphins, fish, caimans, etc.) You will receive personalized service and quality comparable to a luxury hotel, while experiencing environmentally conscious living. The lodge maintains a close relationship with San Juan de Yanayacu village, which benefits from ecotourism.
There are 17 bungalows of two, three, four or six beds, housing a total of 50 people. The bungalows have hermetically protected-mesh screens on the windows and roof, but the rooms still maintain privacy. Depending on the needs of the guest, single bungalows, double or matrimonial bungalows, and family bungalows, etc., are available. Each cottage also has a full, modern ensuite bathroom. Each room has access to a terrace with hammocks overlooking the forest or the river, allowing for views of wildlife and colorful sunsets.
Dining - For food, we source as many local products as possible, such as fruits, vegetables and fish. The menu also includes non-vegetarian produce such as meat, eggs, pork, milk, chicken and fish. If you are vegetarian or have any dietary restrictions, please let us know in advance so that we can inform the chef. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in a buffet style. The menu is balanced between Peruvian and international food, so you can taste typical dishes in combination with new, mild flavors. Only small amounts of salt, sugar and oil are used so meals are light and healthy. Monosodium glutamate (Aji-no-moto in Peru) is not used at all in our dishes. There is also a fruit basket and a coffee table at your disposal.
Power Supply - There is no electricity in the lodge, but lamps in the units and hallways add a magical touch to the tropical atmosphere. Due to the low population density in the area, there are no antennas, therefore no cell signals. There is the ability to charge batteries of cameras and laptops during the afternoon using a small generator.
