Surrounded by lush foliage, this charming stone cottage rental is nestled in Livradois National Park and is located in Laval-sur-Doulon in Auvergne, France. With two bedrooms and one bathroom, this tranquil retreat can accommodate four guests.
The first bedroom features a heavenly king-size bed, while the second bedroom has two twin-size beds. All beds are outfitted with crisp cotton sheets to ensure guests melt away into a peaceful slumber after a day exploring Clermont Ferrand and its renowned Gothic cathedral. The bathroom is shared and features a modern stall shower, a sink, and a toilet, as well as a wonderful soaking tub with magnificent mountain views.
The open-concept living area, kitchen, and dining room allows glampers to interact at all times no matter if they are relaxing on the couch or preparing a delicious meal. The living area features a comfortable sofa where glampers can curl up with a good book or take an afternoon nap. There is also a wood-burning stove perfect for staying warm during the cooler months of the year. In the fully-equipped kitchen, glampers will find a stove, an oven, a toaster, and a refrigerator. There is also a dishwasher for easy cleanup. Guests can enjoy their culinary creations at the dining table with seating for four. Other amenities include Wi-Fi throughout and a washing machine.

Nature enthusiasts can hike and bike through the property’s 20 acres where they can admire the beautiful flora and fauna, including deer, wild boar, butterflies, and over 200 species of birds. Guests can also take a Bushcraft course onsite to learn how to survive in the wild. Water sports lovers can go paddling on the river onsite or head to Allier River for rafting, fishing, and kayaking. Those wanting to dive into the crisp waters for a swim can venture to nearby lakes in La Chaise Dieu and Champagnac-le Vieux where they will find designated swimming areas. Glampers can also take the Allier Gorges Train, one of the most popular tourist trains along the gorge, or head to nearby enchanting towns and villages to do a bit of sightseeing. Guests can head to Clermont Ferrand to visit the Gothic cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, or venture to La Chaise Dieu to visit the beautiful abbey dating back to 1043 AD.
