Nestled in a peaceful clearing, your retreat welcomes you on the edge of a country pond where time seems to slow down. Come and recharge your batteries in the heart of the Normandy-Maine Geopark, amidst ancient forests and untamed trails, and just a 15-minute walk from a water sports center. The greenway to Mont-Saint-Michel passes right by the retreat, offering a relaxing and inspiring stopover during your bike trip. Just a 1-hour 20-minute drive away, you can spend a day visiting the must-see Mont-Saint-Michel.

Located at Adil's place, your host, the retreat offers all amenities in 10 square meters perfectly optimized for a true immersion in nature:

HEATING:

• Thanks to its powerful stove, your refuge becomes a real warm cocoon, even when cold winter temperatures are rife outside. Within minutes, an enveloping heat spreads throughout the lodge. A soft and comforting atmosphere, perfect for a book by the fire or just gazing at the soft orange flames.

• A ceiling fan will give you the feeling of freshness in the bed in the summer.


𖣔 DINING AREA / LIVING ROOM

• Isothermal cooler to store your food fresh
• Electric kettle for hot water (coffee, tea, soup, etc.)
• Dishes, cutlery, utensils and condiments
• Sink with water supply for washing dishes, washing hands, etc.
• Drinking water via an 8-liter fountain
• Small table and stools

Note: There is no cooking or heating food in the space. Our guests prefer mixed-salad-style meals, but they also enjoy the food offered on-site by your host or at local restaurants.

• Walk-in shower with hot water (open seasonally)
• Eco-friendly toilet (dry toilet)
• Towels and eco-friendly shower gel provided
• Note: the shower is open only during the summer season, from +/- April 1 to +/- October 31 (dates change according to the weather).
• When the shower is closed, the sink inside the accommodation allows you to briefly wash with gloves, soap and cold water

𖣔 FOOD & DRINK & ACTIVITIES:

On the catering & activities side, extra charge and by reservation at least 48 hours before your stay (then depending on availability after this time), your host offers you:

•⁠ ⁠Tasting boards: €30 (local cheeses, fruit platter, charcuterie, etc.)
•⁠ ⁠Gourmet snack (crêpes, waffles, pancakes, hot drinks)
•⁠ ⁠Basket of local products to take away
•⁠ ⁠Mountain bike or bicycle rental: €15 per person
•⁠ ⁠Fishing equipment rental: €20 per day with bait of your choice
•⁠ ⁠Pond boat tour (free)

If needed, your host Adil also offers a car shuttle service from Briouze train station (€40 for the round trip), if you are arriving by train.


✓ GOOD TO KNOW:

The refuge is installed in nature and fully self-contained: electricity is produced by solar panels, heating runs on gas and running water is stored in a tank. You have all the usual comforts, but the idea of an alternative habitat is also to become aware of its impact on the environment!

As a result, a few rules are required during your stay:

1) Except phones and laptops, electrical appliances other than those provided on site should not be connected at the risk of damaging the solar system. It is therefore not possible to use, for example, your hair dryer, a straightening iron or a raclette machine

2) The risk of fire being very high in nature, it is strictly forbidden to smoke in and around the shelter, but also to light any flame (no barbecue)

3) Sewage is filtered by plants: you are asked to use only the 100% natural products provided (shower gel, dish soap)

4) No pets allowed in the shelter

The refuge is located on the property of your host, who lives on site. So you may have to meet her during your stay

There's no wifi in the listing

The entrance to the refuge is not on one level, it has a small staircase of 3 steps. Not suitable for people with limited mobility (PMR)

The bed linen is washed but not ironed
