Tented cabin • 2 guests • Bathroom • Kitchen
This charming tented cabin in Vendee, France, with its comfortable double bed and mini refrigerator, accommodates two guests. The cozy room is furnished with unique art deco furniture, antique throw rugs, and a marble-top breakfast table with intricate wrought-iron chairs. There are also two cushioned wicker armchairs and a bench in the corner, as well as a mirrored armoire next to the bed. The tent also has a fire pit and lounge chairs right outside its front door, where guests can relax by the warmth of the fire under the stars at night. Much like the communal kitchen, the tent is full of French-style decor and colorful pieces from the region of Vendée.
The lodge sits on a peaceful tract of land with its own lakes, vegetable garden, two hammocks, a bench, and a table for enjoying the outdoors. The lodge's colorful floral interior contains a double bed, a small dining table with two chairs, and larger armchairs for comfortable relaxation. There is a mini-fridge, toaster, kettle, and BBQ within the lodge, as well as a provided breakfast of jam, eggs, butter, and vegetables straight from the garden. Guests also receive a bottle of wine upon arrival.
A separate lodge with a communal kitchen has a gas stove, utensils, and pots and pans. "En famille" style meals are available with the property hosts as well. The shower block is also separately housed, with two standing showers, two wash basins as well as a toilet and urinal.

While on the property, guests can relax by the lake in the hammocks or stroll through the onsite vegetable gardens or nearby forests on one of the paths meandering through the area. Guests can also book "learning experiences" with their hosts, in which they will learn how to make locally-grown culinary delights like sausage, bacon, dairy products, bread, and preserves, or a three-course french meal with wine.
Glampers can also venture into beautiful Vendée, where they can wine and dine luxuriously on local cuisine in nearby restaurants or one of the Saturday markets in a nearby town. Pay a visit to Puy du Fou, a regional theme park with historical reenactments and exhibits for visitors of all ages. Les Sables d'Olonne and La Rochelle are both celebrated port towns, with scenic views of the Atlantic Ocean and multiple art galleries, restaurants, and wineries to choose from.
The region also boasts a number of well-preserved castles, gardens, and abbeys, as well as stunning beaches along the coast. Guests will have endless activities to choose from, from more adventurous endeavors in nature to exploring the culture and history of the ancient region.
