Scenic Eco Tiny Home with Sunrise & Lavender Views near the Rhône River, Mondragon, France

Tiny house in Mondragon, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur

3 guests • 1 bedroom • 2 beds • 1 bathroom

New

Cradled by the scent of blooming lavender, thyme, jasmine, southern aromatics, and the song of the cicadas, your tiny home, nestled atop a small hill in the shade of the pines, offers you a truly magnificent landscape. From the moment you awaken, you’ll be immersed in the surrounding fields, graced with the warm orange hues of a sublime sunrise, which you can admire directly from your bed thanks to the large bay windows of the accommodation.

SPACE
Dominated by the remains of its castle and crossed by the Rhône, Mondragon has a thousand and one stories to whisper to you. Thanks to its central location, set off to explore the caves along the Ardèche (30 min). Lose yourself in the streets of Avignon, heart of the Vaucluse and City of the Popes, just 45 minutes away, steeped in millennia of history. Or wander through Orange and its ancient Roman theatre (15 min).
Your stay will also be a gourmet experience, thanks to the region’s many delicacies. To begin, we recommend stopping by the shop run by your hosts, Virginie and Christophe, who create on-site—thanks to their “Vins Milles” bees and a lush natural environment—a whole array of delights: honey, confectionery, oils, ice creams! They will happily extend your immersion by guiding you through the wonders of the Haut-Vaucluse, and above all, by sharing their passions: beekeeping and nature.
Your tiny home offers all the usual comforts within a perfectly optimized 14 square meters:
Sleeping area: one queen-size bed 160x200 cm (2 adults) and a convertible bench (1 additional adult, auxiliary bedding)
Kitchen area: refrigerator, gas stove, sink, utensils, dishes and condiments
Living/dining area with table and chairs
Bathroom: sink, Italian-style shower, and ecological toilets (dry toilets)
Soap, towels and bed linens provided
Heating via a gas stove
Ceiling fan for cooling (no air conditioning)
Outdoor area (except in winter): table, chairs, loungers, hammocks (no barbecue)
Drinking water via a 5-liter fountain: tap water is supplied from a tank and is only for showering and washing dishes
Cleaning included
Free parking

For meals, at an additional cost and by reservation at least 48 hours before your stay (and then according to availability beyond this timeframe), Virginie & Christophe offer, using local products and delivered directly to your tiny home:
Breakfast (from €7 to €15 per person depending on the formula)
Charcuterie/cheese boards (from €12)
Prepared dishes (order at least 24h in advance): lasagna, tart, etc. (€15 per dish)
A selection of wines and beers

On-site, you can also book a tasting of farm products (€11 per person) and/or a “discovering a beehive” workshop (more info on request)

GOOD TO KNOW:
The tiny home is set in nature and entirely self-sufficient: electricity is produced by solar panels, the kitchen and heating run on gas, and water is stored in a tank. You have all the usual comforts, yet the idea behind an alternative habitat is also to become more aware of your environmental impact!
Therefore, a few rules apply during your stay:
Except for phones and laptops, no other electrical devices may be plugged in besides those provided on-site, as this may damage the solar system. Hair dryers, straighteners, raclette machines, etc., cannot be used.
Due to the high risk of fire, it is strictly forbidden to smoke in or around the tiny home, and to light any flames (no barbecue).
Wastewater is filtered by plants: you are required to use only the 100% natural products provided.
Animals are not allowed (sorry for your 4-legged or fewer-legged friends).

ACCESS
Arrival from 6 pm. You may arrange with your hosts for an earlier arrival (depending on their availability).
Departure before 11:30 am.
Key safe available for late arrivals.
You have a free parking space near the tiny home.

NOTES
The tiny home is located on the working property of Virginie and Christophe. You may therefore encounter them (and their dogs) during your stay.
There is no Wi-Fi in the accommodation (but 4G generally works well here).
The entrance to the tiny home is not on one single level; it includes a small staircase of 3 steps. The property is not suitable for people with reduced mobility (PRM).
The lavender field in front of the tiny home is generally in bloom from around June 10 (may vary depending on weather).
Bed linens are washed but not ironed.
Don’t worry, you’re not that far away!

ADDITIONAL RULES
Here are the house rules applicable during your stay:
1 – Do not operate the stove for more than 2 hours at a time, and switch it off at night by closing the gas bottle (turn the valve fully). The bottle for the stovetop must also be closed after each use.
2 – It is forbidden to handle gas bottles (except the shut-off valve at night) and forbidden to disconnect detectors.
3 – If you smell gas: Danger! If the smell persists, open windows, do not ignite any flame, and leave the home. Contact your hosts immediately.
4 – Due to the very high risk of fire in nature, it is strictly prohibited to smoke inside or around the area. It is also forbidden to light any flame (barbecue, candle, etc.).
5 – Apart from laptops, phones, and appliances provided on site, do not plug in any other device, or you may lose electricity. Do not tamper with the electrical system.
6 – Ensure indoor temperature always remains above 10°C to avoid frost.
7 – Do not drink water from the taps or shower (non-potable). A potable water fountain is provided upon arrival. You can ask for more if needed.
8 – If tap water stops running, close all taps. Inform your hosts immediately, even late at night, to avoid damaging the pump. If you cannot reach them, please do not use the taps until the issue is resolved.

These house rules must be respected and make you personally responsible during your stay. We accept no responsibility in the event of any incident resulting from failure to comply with these rules. An English version is available on request, or in the shared folder that will be provided to you before arrival.
