Located on a 11-kilometer stretch of deserted sandy beach is this beautiful glamping site on Jinack Island in Gambia in West Africa. This island is off the north bank of the estuary of the Gambia River, and it is part of the National Park of Niumi.

There are many activities to choose from while staying at this glamping site. Some of the options include bird watching, fishing, boat cruises, "Roots" heritage tour, drumming workshops, visiting Senegal and the Fatala Safari Park (the biggest wildlife reserve in West Africa), visiting the local village, dolphin watching, going to the Kachikally Sacred crocodile pool, taking traditional African cooking classes, and mountain biking to the beach, around the island or even to Senegal.

Please keep in mind there aren’t any constructed roads near this glamping site. In order to get around, people generally rely on donkey and cart, biking or going on foot. Also, this site runs off solar power, and they also grown their own fruits and vegetables and manage their own rice fields and coconut trees. Additionally, drinking water runs from their own well. Fresh fish is caught daily and cooked during the evenings on the outdoor BBQ. Everything else is generally sourced locally, which helps the island.

The price to stay at this glamping site is £20 per person, per night. The rate indicated is for double occupancy, but please verify how many people are staying when you send a booking request. Alternatively, there is a weekly price (full board) of £180 per person.
