There are 4 winterized, heated yurts available for rent. For those of you who don’t know what a yurt is, the yurt is the traditional accommodation of early Medieval nomadic Hungarians so it offers a special experience for modern people. Its unique atmosphere comes from the undivided, large space and from the natural, wood-based and light structure, which doesn’t separate you from the surrounding nature but still keeps you protected from the harsh elements. Staying here, it’s easy to realize how important one’s connection to the Earth and wildlife is, and how special it is to stop for a moment on a starry night, look up to the sky, and find your favorite constellation. How stunning it is to hear the deer sniffing in the night and to marvel at the dew in the morning light.

Up to 8-10 people can sleep in one yurt (total capacity of the site is 30). Comfort is ensured by insulated floors, electricity, lighting and heating. If you don’t book a complete yurt, you may need to share it with others. Mattresses are provided but you need to bring your own sleeping bag and towel.

Near the yurts, there is Zsindelyes Inn, which has facilities every visitor can enjoy. The inn includes a projector with a laptop, blackout and special lighting facilities, and it can fit up to 40 people sitting or 50 if it’s a reception type of event. The inn also has a restaurant, Zsindelyes Restaurant (designed by Imre Makovecz, a famous Hungarian organic building architect), which creates a special atmosphere. Its great kitchen will satisfy all kinds of dietary needs and provides anything guests might feel like eating, from breakfast to big meals and event catering. The restaurant is open from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. every day. There is free Wi-Fi near the restaurant. There is a separate chalet with a shower and lavatory block, as well as open fireplaces (extra fee).
