It has only recently been opened to outsiders, and it has a peaceful and natural atmosphere like no other. This exotic location has snow-capped mountains, sand dunes, and clear skies, and the village of Hunder is an excellent base for those who would like to explore the stunning Nubra Valley.
Activities near Ladakh
An excellent choice of activity for guests is to ride a double-humped camel through the sand dunes of the Nubra Valley during their nature retreat. This allows them to enjoy the stunning scenery of the snow-capped mountains in this region, as well as the beautiful plains and the Shyok River. Guests can also drive down to Diskit Gompa to see its famous murals and views, and the Gyalwa Champa statue is another site not to be missed. If guests drive to the village of Sumur, they will be able to see the 115 year old Samtanling Gomba that was inaugurated by the Dalai Lama, and a visit to the village of Panamik allows guests to enjoy its fantastic and renowned hot springs.
