Our forest hideaway room is a magical little space. A converted farm barn with a loft, and decorated with a mesh of fairy lights and branches of trees on the walls and ceiling - very cosy!!! It is very close to our communal kitchen (where self-service continental breakfast is available each morning) and there is a toilet only 10m away across the yard. Showers and wash rooms are a little further away (100m across our main glamping park).

The forest hideaway is one of 7 accommodation units at our property (3 glamping pods, 3 yurts, and our forest hideaway). The property also includes camping / motorhome / caravan pitches and 21 acres of land for you to explore.

The site is bordered to the south by the river Lung (permit-free fishing), and has a small lake. The river and lake are not suitable for swimming, however Kayaks & SUPs may be used on the river, and there is a beautiful swimming spot al a local lake not far from site.

A well maintained toilet/shower block and a fully equiped campers kitchen are available for use during your stay.

A simple continental breakfast is provided each morning in the campers kitchen for all our glamping guests (cereals, toast, tea, coffee, fruit etc.). Space is also available in the communal kitchen Fridges and freezers for you to store your food.

Things to do on site include:

-Make your own pizza (all ingredients, fuel and our wood-fired pizza oven provided)
-Alpacca walks (must be booked in advance please get in touch for details)
-Massage & Tai Chi instruction in our wellness centre.

For kids we have:
-Morning art classes / kids club (most mornings during school holidays and saturdays throughout the year)
-Kids Summer, Easter and Halloween camps (get in touch for dates)
-Kids movie nights and kids discos (most weekends throughout the summer)
-A fairy garden, a fairy door trail, and a kiddies Orienteering course.

We also run concerts, creative writing retreats, and other events from time to time. Please feel free to get in touch for any details on these.

Willowbrook is situated conveniently in the centre of connaught, in irelands Hidden heartlands. There ares ome beautiful short bog walking trails that can be done from site, and longer trails which can be accessed from a short drive away.

Our site itself is quiet and secluded however you will find the busy town of Ballaghaderreen only 5 minutes drive from site, with larger towns, Roscommon, Carick on Shannon, Claremorris and Castlebar all within a 40 minute drive.

There are plenty of activities to do around the area including the following:

-Strokestown House & National Famine museum.
-Arigna Mining visitors centre, Arigna.
-Rathcroughan visitors centre (history museum).
-The museum of country life, Castlebar.
-Roscommon Walking trails (guide book available at reception).
-Irish Railway Museum, Castlerea.
-King House, Boyle
-Swimming pools in Ballaghaderreen, Roscommon and Carrick on Shannon, and a kiddies favourite outdoor heated pool in Castlerea with water slides.
-A number of nearby petting farms.

Willowbrook offers wellness sessions that include massages, and Tai Chi classes. Fishing for pike, perch, and roach awaits on site on the River Lung. Hiking and walking trails suitable for beginners up to experienced trekkers are easily found throughout the surrounding area. Alpacca walks are available on site.

Pizza making in the site pizza oven is a hit with adults and kids alike.

For the kids, Willowbrook is host to morning art classes, discos and movies as well as art & nature camps at easter, in the summer and at halloween. These activities while being great for the kids, also allow parents to have a little mini holiday, while on holiday.
