Scenic views
This property is in the Mara Naboisho Conservancy, a 50,000-acre property to the northeast of the Masai Mara National Reserve. It was formed by land contributions of over 500 Maasai property owners, and the conservancy fees are directed back to them. The site is in a forest on the banks of the Olmorijio River, and every structure has been built with the lowest impact on the environment.

This region of Kenya is famous for its migration season – between June and July depending on the year you will see the whole landscape change from the golden green of the savanna to a mottle of black patches in constant movement, the gnus. Along with these migrants you will find half a million zebras, about a quarter million gazelles, and many other amazing animals. Giraffes and elephants are a daily appearance, and this conservancy has the highest density of lions in all of Africa – one of the main prides is comprised of 22 lions and has its base right by the property.

This site was nominated for Kenya’s Leading Safari Camp 2013 by World Travel Awards and was also given this award in 2012. It was also nominated for the Safari Awards in 2013.
