One of the most prestigious beaches and marquee surf centers in the region, Costa Azul Beach is just five minutes away on foot. Here and in the immediate area, guests will find several incredible restaurants, entertainment, pristine beaches, and four famous surf breaks.

Guests are conveniently wedged between the charming downtown art gallery district of Los Cabos, full of restaurants, breweries, plazas, shopping, art galleries, and more about 10 minutes north of the property, and Cabo San Lucas, about 30 minutes Southwest from the property. There is no shortage of beaches, restaurants, and entertainment within walking distance of the property, and guests will have their pick from an abundance of exciting surrounding attractions to choose from, depending on their interest.

Convenient toll roads make it easy to access other towns of interest, including the magical village and artists enclave of Todos Santos on the Pacific Coast, surrounded by fishing villages and surfing beaches, slightly over one hour away to the Northwest. On the opposite side of the Peninsula, guests will find a plethora of areas along the coast from Los Cabos up to La Paz, from isolated surf destinations on the East Cape, to scuba diving meccas and a National Park in Cabo Pulmo, all the way up the Gulf of California coast to the enchanting city of La Paz, Baja California Sur’s capital city and a world-class scuba diving destination and home to Mexico’s most beautiful beach.

Guests will find no shortage of activities or entertainment within walking distance of the immediate area of the property and a long list of extraordinary places to explore within a short drive. The Sea of Cortez nurtures the “world’s aquarium” of world-renowned marine life abundance and collides with the shocking beauty of the Pacific Ocean and the untouched Gulf of California. Baja Sur is where breathtakingly beautiful beaches meet mystical desert landscapes, and artists and surfers flock to admire a rarity that still holds many hidden treasures.

The property overlooks the spectacular Costa Azul Beach, which can be accessed by walking five minutes down the hill to the beach. Here guests can enjoy the incredible long, sandy beach and crystal clear water for a swim, in addition to a range of restaurants and nightlife. This area is home to four famous surf breaks, one next to the other walking or paddling distance, varying in intensity. Guests can easily rent boards or take a surf lesson, which can be arranged by the property owners who run a local surf school.

About 10 minutes away from the property, guests can visit the downtown Los Cabos area, known as the “gallery district,” home to several charming walking streets filled with impressive restaurants, boutiques, art galleries, bars, the Baja brewing company, and other breweries and wine bars. Every Thursday evening from November through June, guests can check out the San Jose del Cabo Art Walk, where the streets are closed to cars with the aim of drawing art lovers and tourists away from the Main Square and into the city’s color-filled back streets located behind the church.

Cabo San Lucas is about 30 minutes away from the property, with a bustling marina and the beautiful Cabo San Lucas Bay where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean at the very tip of the Baja Sur Peninsula. Cabo San Lucas has a reputation for its beautiful long main beach, swimming, watersports, exciting nightlife, and is packed with restaurants, shopping, and other excursions to boot.

Arguably the biggest highlight of Cabo, the iconic stone arch, “El Arco,” is a magnificent natural rock formation at Land’s End, and is an easily accessible half-day trip from the marina. Guests can explore this area and its exotic beaches by boat, kayak, or go out on a snorkeling or scuba diving adventure to check out the impressive abundance of marine life and pristine coral reef. This area is also a longtime favorite for sport fishing.

Other highly recommended destinations all ranging between one to two hours driving distance from the property include Pescadero fishing villages and surf beaches, the charming and artistic town of Todos Santos, deemed “pueblo magico” by the Mexican government because of its cultural richness and incredible beauty, both situated on the Pacific coast.

On the east side passing the East Cape and its prestigious surf spots, guests will find a gem of natural beauty, Cabo Pulmo, deemed as “the world’s aquarium” by famous French explorer Jacques Cousteau, with a National Park Marine Preserve and top-notch scuba diving. Finally, guests won’t want to miss the capital city of Baja California Sur, La Paz, with its seafront promenade, art, entertainment, and marina embarking on trips to the nearby island of Espíritu Santo, for snorkeling, whale watching, and more.

La Paz is home to dramatically beautiful beaches, world-class snorkeling, and scuba diving conditions, and boasts the most beautiful beach in all of Mexico, Balandra beach.
