Scenic views
This property is in the southern area of the Yucatan Peninsula, 5.7km south of the small fishing town of Mahahual. It is in the Quintana Roo region of Mexico, about an hour and a half drive from the capital, Chetumal. Being on the Costa Maya there are many historical and mythical locations to visit and many things to see. The land in this region is practically unspoiled, allowing the property to keep everything as natural and eco-friendly as possible.

Driving down the coast from Cancun to Mahahual, there are endless sites to visit to get a feel for the culture and beauty of the region. For instance, about two hours south of Cancun, there is the town of Tulum, where there are famous Mayan ruins overlooking the sea. Further down this same road is the town of Felipe Carrillo Puerto, which has many excellent restaurants. In addition to the incredible cuisine, this town also has great historical significance – it was a center during the last Mayan stand against the Spaniards, known as the War of the Castes, which lasted the whole last half of the 19th century.
