This eco-friendly lodge retreat is located in the Riviera Maya near Cancun, Mexico, and can accommodate 30 guests spaced out among five bungalows. In La Casa, guests are treated to a king-size bed on the main floor and a full-size bed in the above loft. This bungalow is the largest of the guest houses and has a covered wrap-around porch. The second floor of the bungalow features a lounge area with cozy sofas and a window seat that unfolds into extra sleeping. In addition, sleeping arrangements can be added to the downstairs or upstairs floors and can accommodate a total of 10 guests.

The La Quinta bungalow can sleep up to eight guests. There are one central living space and one full bathroom. In the living area, guests are treated with two king-size beds and two full-size futon sleeper sofas. The spacious bathroom features a toilet, a sink, and a shower with dual showerheads.

The El Bungalow can accommodate up to eight guests. In the central living area, There is two king-size beds, twin ceiling fans, a six-drawer dresser, and a lounge area. The loft is furnished with two queen-size beds and has floor fans for an extra breeze on humid nights. This bungalow also has hardwood shutter panels and screens to keep out mosquitos and bugs--all used as walls around the first floor.

The La Cabana bungalow sits on a raised platform and is perfect for guests with limited mobility. Beneath its palapa roof, there are two king-size beds, sleeping up to four guests. The full bathroom features a toilet, a single sink vanity with a mirror, and a shower.

The La Casita bungalow sleeps up to four guests, with queen-size beds, and a full bathroom, which has a toilet, a shower, and a sink. This traditional-style Mayan dwelling has limestone rock walls, all gathered from the property, and a tall thatched palapa roof to keep the casita cool temperatures.

In addition to the main bungalows, there are several common spaces that can accommodate and fit extra beds. There is a library that can fit three double-size futons, a multipurpose room that holds at least two double-size futons, a spa palapa that can hold a combination of either one king-size or two twin-size beds, and a duck pond hut that can hold an inflatable mattress. Linens and towels are provided in all bungalows.

While each of these bungalows does not come with fully-equipped kitchen, guests will instead find that all meals are provided by the chef and team of cooks. In addition to a provided meals, other amenities include multiple televisions throughout the common areas, a DVD library of over 300 movies, and much, much more.

Outside the bungalows, some of which have spacious covered verandas, there are multiple lounge areas and hammocks scattered about the property. In addition, there are many other outdoor areas to enjoy like pools, waterfalls, orchards, and even a private cenote located on the grounds.

This eco-friendly retreat has endless amenities--all with mindful and carefully planned environmental practices. Structures on the property were built using renewable construction materials like limestone, grass thatch roofs, and reclaimed timber. Waterless composting toilets in each accommodation use biodegradable waste disposal to fertilizer the gardens and orchards, as well as help the overall ecosystems and ocean reefs that sit just off the coast of Mexico. The gardens and orchards on the property also contain plants and foliage carefully relocated and preserved. With the use 12 solar panels and energy-efficient LP appliances, including water heaters, refrigerators, BBQ grills, ovens, stoves, and clean-burning propane power generators. The lodge, of course, also recycles water, paper, aluminum, and glass. When guests choose this lodge over countless other Cancun resorts, they are minimizing the impact on the region's landscapes and oceans.

Besides being extremely eco-friendly, there are many extra amenities, both inside and out. Guests are given choices of several dining areas such as a bar and lounge area and a poolside palapa with spacious dining table. There are a swimming pool and Jacuzzi that sits eight people. Next to the pool is also a shower, sundeck for lounging, and a convenient bathroom. On the grounds, there is also a fun play area with an in-ground trampoline, several swings, and even a zip-line. There are also basketball half-court, a practice wall for tennis, volleyball on the lawn, and badminton. In addition, the entire family can have fun on the 9-hole miniature golf course.

Located throughout the grounds underneath thatched style roofs, are plenty of inside entertainment. There is a furnished game room has a pool table, air hockey table, Ping Pong table, Foosball table, and plenty of balls, bats, gloves, rackets, Frisbees, horseshoes, and various other sports equipment. There is also a library where guests can borrow books, games, and find maps and brochures of the local area. Inside the library is also a television with DVD player. For younger children, there is a Gymboree padded playroom, with a playhouse, television set, and DVD player for keeping the kids entertained.

While the lodge offers many on-site activities, there are even more ways for families and guests to play and find adventure! Guests can swim with dolphins, go horseback riding, do some fishing, or go deep-sea diving and snorkeling. There are also ATV tours, zip lining, golf courses, and several cenotes on land. Located only 20-minutes from Xcaret, and the Puerto Aventures marina, as well as many Riviera Maya's major attractions. Tulum and the cliffside Mayan ruins are reachable for a day trip, and the lodge is also located a short 10-minute drive from Xpu-Ha beach, one of the best Caribbean beaches to be found.
