
Unique Vietnam-Era Aeroplane in Northern New Zealand
This Bristol freighter plane is one of the last allied planes that was flown in Vietnam. It is split into two units: the cockpit and the rear tail.
Tail: This unit can sleep up to four people. It features one double bed and a set of two bunks. These bunks are slightly narrower than a normal size bunk with a steep ladder up to the top bunk. There is an ensuite bathroom with a shower and toilet, as well as a living/eating area with kitchenette that features a range, microwave, and refrigerator for light meals.
Cockpit: This unit can sleep up to four people. It has one bed located up in the cockpit and guests must be fit to climb the steep ladder to access this area. Children must be older than eight years of age. This sleeping area can also be hot in the summer months. There is also a double bed on the lower level. There is an ensuite bathroom with shower and toilet, as well as a living/eating area with kitchenette at the entrance.
On this stunning property, there is a restaurant and bar as well as a unique stage arena for shows and music. Facilities also include private ensuite bathrooms, self-contained kitchens, non-smoking rooms, Wi-Fi in public areas, and wedding/banquet/event facilities. Each unit has designated parking.

In the surrounding town, there is a handful of activities to keep guests entertained during their vacation. Guests can check out Waitomo's famous caves filled with bioluminescent glow worms for an out worldly experience. For the more adventurous, glampers must try black water rafting, which is just like white water rafting but in caves. For something a little more peaceful and out in the open air, there's horseback riding through the gorgeous green hills in the area.
