The rugged banks of the Ohinemuri River lie mere minutes out the door in the stunning Karangahake Gorge, where guests can admire the unique staircase Owharoa Falls. The Waihou River winds through the land just 15 minutes away, offering world-class fly fishing, and the rippling Waitawheta River is only 10 minutes away. For unforgettable sightseeing, Lord of the Rings fans can visit Matamata an hour away, or drive two hours to explore the Waitomo Caves with their countless glowworms and underground waterfalls. A 40-minute drive will take guests to Whangamata, while Tauranga and Mount Maunganui are both an hour from the property along the Bay of Plenty.
