Within a short drive, glampers can enjoy a variety of tasty dining and local shops. Guests can go hiking out to Owharoa Falls for some incredible photography of the staircase cascade. On a hot day, the waters are great for a refreshing swim. The Hauraki Rail Trail is great for biking, as are a number of nearby nature trails. Karangahake Gorge Historic Walkway is a must-see in the region with multiple routes of varying difficulty to choose from. Guests can take advantage of world-class trout fishing on the Waihou River, which is also ideal for kayaking and canoeing. Lord of the Rings fans are in for some incredible sightseeing at Matamata. The Waitomo Caves offer incredible photography opportunities and stunning waterfalls.
