Endeavour Inlet

Certainly a resort of sorts, Endeavour Inlet is a remote region home to emerald lakes and forested alpines. The inlet is a popular holiday location, and one of its main attractions is the Queen Charlotte Track, a pathway that takes you through the inlet’s lush forests, creeks, and panoramic viewpoints. Though a holiday destination today, Endeavour Inlet has quite the history, first discovered by Captain James Cook in 1770. Later on, the region became a miners’ village, employing hundreds of men from England. As such, Endeavour Inlet’s history starkly contrasts its current status as a natural gem, and you won’t find dusty miners along the coast anymore. Instead, you’ll find a cocktail to company your trot along the inlet’s sands.
