This is the ideal spot for glampers seeking to discover the stunning beauty of New Zealand's sprawling countryside. Guests will have easy direct access to the Tasman Great Taste Trail, which is a loop trail running from Nelson to Tapawera, then down the beautiful Motueka River Valley and on to Riwaka and Kaiteriteri. It then loops back to Nelson via Mapua and Rabbit Island. Along the way, glampers will discover vineyards and wine tasting, historical sites, quiet bush roads and coastal enclaves. Experienced hikers can even deviate from the trail to explore the diverse Kahurangi National Park and Mount Arthur. It is just a short bike ride to the pristine golden sands of Kaiteriteri Beach.
From there, the joys of the Abel Tasman are just a water taxi away. Walking packages are available and include breakfasts and lunches, as well as transport to Kaiteriteri or Marahau for water taxi start points into the Abel Tasman. There are plenty of other options for outdoor recreation in the area as well, including sea kayaking, day cruises, skydiving, and helicopter tours.
When glampers are ready for a break from the great outdoors they can head to the friendly neighboring town of Motueka, located just five minutes from the property. There, guests can learn about local history at the museum, indulge in the delicious local cuisine, and even dine in a converted church on Main Street. Motueka also has a thriving artistic community and there are numerous local art galleries and shops where guests can browse for a special souvenir. Guests can take a stroll along the scenic waterfront walkway or drive to the Riwaka Resurgence, where the river emerges from a marble cave.
