This vintage caboose is located in Waipara, New Zealand, near Amberley, and is ideal for a unique getaway in the North Canterbury region. With one bedroom featuring four twin-size beds, this splendid vacation rental can accommodate up to four guests. Linens and towels are not provided.

The separate sitting room is the perfect place to kick back and relax after a fun-filled day exploring Lake Sumner National Park. Other amenities include heating in the accommodation. Guests also have access to a shared bathroom with showers, as well as a communal kitchen and TV lounge.

Outside, there is a lovely balcony where guests can read a good book, admire the breathtaking views of the Waipara hills, or marvel at the midnight sky with its twinkling stars before heading to bed.

This unique glamping site has everything guests need for a wonderful stay. Guests can pack light since they have access to a communal washer and dryer, which are both coin-operated. Glampers also have access to the communal kitchen, TV lounge, kitchen, and shared bathrooms. Additionally, hot bread and eggs are included. Outside, glampers will have access to the beautiful country garden where they will be able to admire the stunning scenery.

Glampers can venture to Arthur’s Pass National Park to enjoy the great outdoors. The beautiful scenery provides the perfect backdrop for hiking and cycling, as well as horseback riding. There are miles and miles of trails perfect for trekking and exploring the beautiful wildlife surrounding this gorgeous property.

Fishing enthusiasts can make their way to the south branch of the Waipara River or take a trip to the Hurunui River. There, guests can cast their lines and try to reel in salmon or trout. The coastal town of Kaikoura makes for a perfect day trip and affords guests the opportunity to go whale watching and catch a glimpse of other majestic animals.

Wine aficionados can make their way to the vineyards of Waipara Valley, where they will be able to tour numerous wineries, learn about the art of winemaking, and try different vintages. For a truly relaxing day, glampers can make their way to the Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools and Spa where they can spend the day bathing in the natural spring water or dozing off as they get a massage. In the colder months of the year, glampers can head to Hanmer Springs Ski Area or Mt. Lyford Ski Area to ski or snowboard down the slopes.
