Surrounded by white sandy beaches, the site is a surfers paradise with clear blue waters perfect for bathing and surfing alike. With an average year-round temperature of 30c, this place makes for a peaceful getaway to the ocean whenever the time of year. El Viejo is renowned for its gastronomic specialties including handmade sweets as well as processions and equestrian parades that attract thousands of tourists every year and is famous for its colonial era basilica. Achuapa, the fifth largest city in Nicaragua, is a hot spot for great agricultural products including oils, flour, and sugarcane as well as a vibrant nightlife. The Cosigüina peninsula is just an hour and a half’s drive away and is home to all kinds of outdoor activities and the Cosigüina Volcano, an 872-meter high cone.
