The beaches vary from more developed and busy beaches to deserted virgin beaches. The Fossil Cliff of Costa da Caparica is just 10 minutes away, and the Serra da Arrábida, or Arrábida Natural Park, is a half hour drive to the south. The park encompasses 42 square miles of hills, plains, and sea cliffs covered in Mediterranean vegetation, as well as numerous beaches and a 16th-century monastery. This habitat provides a home to 213 species of wildlife and birds.

    This bell tent is 40 minutes from the world-famous town of Sintra and the surrounding Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. The picturesque rural town of Azeitão is located half an hour to the southeast and is notable for its production of Portuguese wines and cheeses, including Queijo de Azeitão.
