Lake Carroll is located in the northwest of Illinois and is the largest privately owned body of water in the state. It offers easy access to some of the attractions in the north, including Starved Rock State Park and Chicago in the East. Chicago is one of America's largest and most famous cities, and with good reason! It is a cultural hub, well known for Millennium Park and the Willis Tower, one of the tallest in the United States. It's also become a center of art, with sculptures like Cloud Gate, and the Art Institute of Chicago, with its notable Impressionist and Post-Impressionist works. The surrounding area is picturesque, encompassing beautiful lakeside properties, and a wide range of others which take advantage of the state's geographical diversity.
