Luxury Camping with Kids near Joshua Tree

Joshua Tree is a small town in San Bernardino County, California. Located at 2,400 feet above sea level, itself along with many other surrounding towns are situated in the California High Desert. Furthermore, the Joshua Tree National Park has been officially recognised by the Government for over 20 years and boasts rugged terrain consisting of rocky boulders and desert shrubs. Families who are visiting the Palm Springs Area are highly encouraged to spend some time at the Joshua Tree National Park. There are many kid friendly hiking trails within the park, so any site is quite practical to get to, especially with young children. The Barker Dam is also a hit with the kids because it is one of the rare places within the park in which they will find refreshing water! Another breathtaking viewpoint is Keys View, and is well work the hike up there. Skull Rock can be found at the end of a less strenuous hiking path, so if you want a win win, easy hike and happy kid, this will be the way to go. The final stop here is the Cholla Cactus Garden and this cannot be missed, however be aware that the cacti in the field pose poisonous spikes and its recommended that you do not let children loose here, just admire the vibrant colors from a distance! Camping will serve as a great base when visiting the Joshua Tree National Park and surrounding areas, as you will only be a short drive from any unforgettable site.
