This immaculate property is set on a farm of about 50 hectares in size, situated on the famous Route 62 and only 14 kilometers from the historic town of Montagu. This farm started out as a land for raising sheep, pigs, and chickens and now concentrates on tourism. The farm has a petting zoo with many hand-reared animals; alpacas, goats, chickens, ducks, geese, sheep and our resident springbok Thomas. This cottage is just east of the Twistniet Nature Reserve and about ten minutes north of Montagu. Among the many natural features, this property is close to many dams, a natural hot spring (Avalon Springs) and the longest wine route in the world offering many wine farms to do a tasting or two.

Glampers will find plenty activities on site and in the town of Montagu. There is a dam on the farm which guests are welcome to fish or swim in. The outside area has a picnic table, benches and a fire pit which glampers are welcome to enjoy an afternoon braai/barbecue. There are a number of small walks around the farm which are signposted, we also provide a small google map. The farm has a number of animals for kids to feed in the petting zoo; alpacas, goats, chickens, springbok, sheep, ducks, and geese. The town of Montagu offers golf courses, climbing, art galleries, and natural hot springs. Guests must also visit the Sanbona Wildlife Reserve, the Montagu Nature Garden, and the Leidam Bird Sanctuary. There are also many wine farms in the area where guests can go and do a tasting or two.

Children two and under are free of charge, as are pets if arranged at the time of booking and at the owner's discretion.

Pets are not allowed on the furniture or in the splash pools. Hairs block the pool filter which means the pool has to be drained before it can be cleaned, making it unavailable for other guests.
