Güímar

Güímar is a wonderful little region in Tenerife, in the Canary Islands. With the same spectacular weather, relaxed atmosphere, and delicious local dining that features on the rest of the island, this area features something a little special: the Pyramids of Güímar, six rectangular pyramid-shaped, terraced structures built from lava stone. Their origins are largely mysterious, although archaeologists date them to the 19th century, and suspect that they were originally intended for agricultural use. In addition to the pyramids, the region is also home to impressive architecture and churches dating back to the conquest of the island in the 15th century which are well worth checking out. No matter what you do, make sure to book yourself one of these charming glamping rentals so that you can have the best vacation possible.
