The entire hut has been lovingly and sympathetically restored, using original materials. The walls have been insulated with sheep’s wool, and the decor is traditional, yet stylish. A cozy wood-burning stove will keep guests warm and snug, and there are plenty of logs to keep the fire going. Glampers will have access to several facilities for preparing light meals and drinks, including a coffeemaker, a tea kettle, a toaster, and a dual hot plate. In addition, there is a refrigerator for keeping food and drinks fresh. Other amenities include heating and a hairdryer.
Outside, there is private parking and a seating area, featuring an outdoor dining table and chairs. Guests can enjoy intimate evening drinks next to the private fire pit or can do a spot of grilling on the barbecue to create a delicious meal.

There are many great activities awaiting guests who visit this region. Those who love the outdoors can hire a bike from nearby Dover or Canterbury to explore the local area. With many quiet roads and tracks, the terrain is ideal for cycling. Plentiful water sports are available on the Romney Marsh, including water-skiing, wakeboarding, jet skiing, and paddle boarding. Local outfitter, Action Watersports offers guided experiences and equipment rental. There is a popular and well-known surfing spot 45 minutes away at Camber Sands Beach.
Adrenaline-seekers might like to try karting at the Lydd Circuit, or flying through the treetops at on a high ropes course. Go Ape is found at Leeds Castle, around 30 miles from the property and boasts zip-wires 65 feet above the forest floor and over 800 feet in length. During their adventure, glampers will be treated to breathtaking views of the nearby castle.
Keen golfers will love this area, as there are abundant courses in this part of the world. The closest to the property is Broome Park, which is less than eight miles away.
There are so many historic places to visit in the region, that guests will be spoiled for choice. At Folkstone seafront, visitors can explore the castle and secret war-time tunnels. In Canterbury, they will be able to take a tour of the famous cathedral. Leeds Castle, the home of Go Ape, is an amazing place for a day trip, and glampers should be sure to check out its beautiful gardens. For something a little different, guests can take a ride on the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Steam Railway, a miniature steam train that has been running for the last 90 years.
For wine lovers, Kent has many vineyards, most of which offer tours and tastings, and those who prefer beer can visit a local British Ale brewery. The host recommends Chapel Down, for wine, and Romney Marsh Brewery for beer and ale.
