The county’s gently rolling landscapes speckled with picturesque towns and villages have inspired a range of well-known artists, for example, Constable who is famous for his paintings of Dedham which is not far from St Osyth, and Wivenhoe, a quaint village nearby which offers beautiful views and is home to some beautiful pottery artists.
Vibrant seaside towns such as Frinton and Walton merge with quiet, isolated beaches that in turn become networks of tidal inlets and estuaries, rich in wildlife and perfect for a relaxing day out.
