This bright airy yurt rental is located in West Sussex, England, and features a private outdoor bucket shower. The yurt was made by a friend of the hosts and is constructed from ash and hazel. A circular ceiling window and two wall windows provide plenty of natural light. The yurt is set on a wooden platform to keep glampers away from the damp ground.

Glampers will sleep peacefully in a king-size bed dressed in Egyptian cotton linens and topped with a down duvet, pillows, and a colorful wool blanket. Battery reading lights are conveniently located by the bed and two battery hurricane lamps and a glass candle lantern offer evening ambiance. There is a leather sofa and two chairs, cowskin and sheepskin rugs, and a variety of vintage decor giving a comfortable homey feel to the space. A wood stove keeps glampers toasty warm on cooler nights.

Outside, there is an upcycled firepit and BBQ grill as well as a table with two French cafe chairs.

There are two hot shower rooms kept warm with underfloor heating and also two flushing "loos." Glampers will have access to a fully-equipped glamping kitchen. It contains a large gas oven and hob and a communal fridge/freezer. There is also a wood-fired pizza oven! All cookware, dinnerware, and utensils are provided as well as clean up supplies. The kitchen runs hot and cold water and offers a charging station for electronics. Two large dining tables offer communal eating spaces and there are a variety of board games to pass the time on rainy days.

There is also a drying room on the property where glampers can dry wet clothing and towels.

Horsham is an ideal base for exploring the West Sussex area. There is a pub within a 10-minute walk of the property and a peaceful two-mile walk across the countryside leads to a restaurant that often serves venison sourced from the reserve itself.

Southwater Country Park is a 90-acre site offering level surfaced paths for a leisurely stroll along the lake. There are also a variety of outdoor activities. On the water, there is canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding, and sailing while on land there is an adventure playground, orienteering, and mountain biking. There are rentals available as well as organized trips.

"The Quarry" is a nature and wildlife conservation area within the park where visitors can view such things as lizards, kingfishers, and nightingales as well as various butterflies and dragonflies. Downs Link Bridleway passes through the park and is perfect for covering more ground on foot, bike, or horse.
