About this place
We have a total of 23 cozy camping pods, all the same in size. Each comes with 2 good quality single beds and mattresses for a comfortable night’s sleep. The beds can be pushed together to make a double, or if they’re placed in an L shape, you can even fit a double airbed in.
Pods sleep 2 adults (max) and up to two children (or three small children if they can fit on a double airbed – this is a squeeze). You just need to bring your own bedding and additional airbeds/roll mats if bringing your children.
We also have Pod 1 which is heated and comes with a wood-fired hot tub. It overlooks the Lake and has a wooden decking featuring the Hot Tub – and reserved Parking:
Our Wood Fired Hot Tubs are designed for 2 people maximum.
Rates include; 2 bags of wood and kindling for the tub. Typically enough – extra wood is available to purchase.
Available to use from your check-in time to 10.30 pm.
Tubs take up to 2 Hours to get to Temperature.
Minimum age 14 years. Under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult.
Wood Fired Tubs don’t have electricity connected – so no bubbles/jets. Just relaxation and fantastic lakeside views.
All 24 Pods are insulated to keep to a nice temperature, but if you do feel the chill we have hot water bottles available for £3.50 (to keep).
A number of Pods (currently 11) are now heated with a radiator. If available the option for ‘Heated Pod’ will show.
During the cooler months, we recommend you bring warm bedding or extra layers.
Our Pods don’t have electricity connected so it’s an authentic camping experience – but if you do need to charge phones or plug in your hairdryer, there is plenty of power available in the nearby Lakeside Lodge. Or you can hire a battery pack on site for £5 if you’d rather charge your device in your Pod.
Pods each come with a firepit. Wood can be purchased on-site.
Disposable BBQs are available to purchase on-site. There are bricks available to put them on.
Bookings also include 24hr access to the beautiful Lakeside Lodge which has a kitchen including a kettle, microwave, toaster, fridge/freezers, three wet rooms with toilets/ 24hr hot showers, and a large common room with tables & chairs and vending machines.

The campsite is home to ‘Fylde Trout Fishery’. Established in 2008, this beautiful, five-acre lake is host to rainbow, blue, and brown trout up to 12 pounds. If guests enjoy fly fishing, then they are in for a treat. The lake is surrounded by wildlife and has been planted with native trees and hedges to blend in with the surrounding countryside. It’s not unusual to see wild deer as well as the usual suspects (rabbits, squirrels, pheasants, and a large selection of birds including kingfishers, hawks, and owls).
There is a large field (about the size of four football pitches!) for children to play on. The property also has footballs, a rounders’ set, swing ball, cricket, and kites all in the ‘Mini Pod’, and there is a host of board games in the main lodge (for when the weather isn’t so nice). Campfires and BBQs are allowed and even encouraged. Firewood is available to buy online when booking or directly on site.
Nearby Attractions:
This site is only a 15 minute drive from the attractions of Blackpool, The Pleasure Beach including Europe’s tallest roller coaster, the Pepsi Max Big One, Blackpool Tower & Dungeons, The Sea Life Centre, Sandcastle Waterpark, Blackpool Zoo, Madame Tussuads, and of course the Illuminations – in 2016 running from 2nd Sept – 6th Nov.
Or for those looking for something a little more on the quiet side, there are various local heritage walks and cycle routes around the Fylde coast, as well as a host of world-renowned golf courses and traditional country pubs. The nearest country pub is the Eagle and Child, only a short 20 minute walk from the site (or 2 minute drive).
