This tranquil and family-friendly tree house is located on an acre of majestic woodlands next to Savage River State Forest in Grantsville, Maryland. It is less than half an hour away from Deep Creek Lake, Big Savage Mountain, and Wisp Ski Resort. With two bedrooms and one bathroom, the tree house can accommodate up to six guests.

Couples can sleep on a queen-size bed in the cozy master bedroom. The master bedroom comes with a closet, wide windows overlooking the pine trees and mountains, and access to a private porch. Kids can climb up the spiral staircase to reach the loft, where there are two double beds and a lounge area with comfy hickory wood furniture and spectacular views of the forest. There is one full bathroom with a toilet, a sink, and a shower and bathtub combination. Linens and towels are provided.

In the living room, after a long day of skiing or rock climbing, guests can lounge on the suede sofa or leather sectional couch and watch a DVD on the flat-screen TV mounted on the wall. The living room opens up to a dining table that seats six, and a fully-equipped kitchen. The kitchen comes with a microwave, a toaster, a coffeemaker, and a mini-fridge with a freezer. Dishes, cooking utensils, and wine glasses are provided. Other amenities include heating and air conditioning, fans, electricity, and running water.

On the private deck, guests can relax on nice patio furniture and watch birds or wildlife as they pass through the towering pine trees. In the mornings, they can sit out with a fresh mug of coffee and watch the sunrise over the mountains and evergreens. On hot summer nights or crisp autumn evenings, guests can step down to a private lounge area beneath the tree house, where they can curl up on a hanging chair and roast s'mores around a fire pit.

Both tree houses come with furnished decks and a private outdoor lounge area with a swing and fire pit. Free parking is available onsite. Inside both tree houses, there is a fully-equipped kitchen with a dining area. The tree houses are safe and equipped with electricity and hot running water. The property has limited cell service connection.

The tree houses are next to Savage River State Forest, where guests can go hiking, cycling, and horseback riding along scenic nature trails passing through rugged mountains and lush pine forests. One of these trails is the popular and beautiful Meadow Mountain Trail. Additionally, guests can ride mountain bikes, ATVs, and other off-road vehicles through the park. They can hike and climb up Big Savage Mountain, or canoe, kayak, and fish along the Savage River. In the winter, the trails are suitable for cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. Guests are allowed to hunt within designated zones inside the park.

The tree houses are also close to Deep Creek Lake, Maryland's largest lake. Deep Creek Lake State Park provides three playgrounds for kids and two beaches for swimming and picnics. Guests can also go canoeing, kayaking, boating, and paddle-boarding on the lake. A few scenic nature trails wind through the forest edging the lake. These trails are perfect for hiking, biking, watching birds, and viewing wildlife.

Guests will only be 20 minutes away from the popular Wisp Ski Resort. In the winter, guests can go downhill and cross-country skiing, as well as snowboarding, snowshoeing, snow tubing, and ice skating. They can ride a chair lift to take photos of the alpine wilderness, or go on a unique roller coaster in the mountains. There are plenty more fun activities at Wisp Ski Resort during warmer seasons. Guests can go climbing, rappelling, and biking in the mountains, or zip-lining over the evergreen canopies. They can also play golf or learn archery. Additionally, guests can go kayaking or whitewater rafting along a river that runs by the resort, or head to Deep Creek Lake for scenic boat tours and bike rides. The resort features a wide selection of bars, cafes, shops, and restaurants for guests to enjoy.

Grantsville offers a wide variety of shops and restaurants, as well as conveniences like grocery stores and medical services. Guests can tour museums and many historic log cabins or mills from the town's early days as an Amish settlement.
