This lodge is located in Sabillasville, Maryland, and sits on a 100-acre farm a few miles from the Pennsylvania-Maryland border. To the south is the Cunningham Falls State Park, known for the Cunningham Falls, a large waterfall, and a 43-acre man-made lake. Above Cunningham Falls State Park is Catoctin Mountain Park, part of the forested mountain ridge on the edge of the Appalachian. In the northern part of the state park is Camp David, the presidential retreat site which was built in 1938. The closest airports are Baltimore Washington International Airport, and hour and 15 minutes to the east, as well at Dulles International Airport, about the same distance but south from the farm.

There are also farm animals on the property that guests can play with. A 20-minute drive south is Cunningham Falls State Park, known for the Cunningham Falls, the largest waterfall in the state. Across state lines to the north is Michaux State Forest, which has many hiking trails, including a portion of the Appalachian Trail.
