Description of Glamping Units

Set in Adirondack Park and along Lake Pleasant, this Upstate New York log cabin rental is the perfect spot for one or two couples. This log cabin can sleep up to six guests in total. There are exactly four beds inside, one queen-size bed, one double bed and two singles. Children over the age of twelve are welcome, but due to the inherent nature of this older log cabin, it is not appropriate for small children. This log cabin rental offers an open layout with a fireplace, a kitchen, and a sleeping loft. The wrap around porch is furnished with Adirondack-style chairs, a dining table, a Weber grill and one truly magnificent view. 2 kayaks provided. Lake access is by kayaking down a small stream to the lake (about 100 feet). You can swim from the kayaks.

Guests who stay at this log cabin will also have a second smaller cottage on site, about 100 feet from the log cabin. Named the "Honeymoon Suite," it is furnished with a luxurious queen-size bed, a chandelier and incredible lake views. The view from this little cottage is picture perfect. There is no plumbing, but there is an outhouse located behind the cabin. This sweet little cottage can be used as a second bedroom for additional guests. Read More

There are linens, bath mats and kitchen towels provided (please bring your own beach and bath towels). Guests have use of an outdoor Weber grill, large front lawn. Guests will spend mornings enjoying the private deck which faces the lake. This property also boasts a beautiful lakeside rustic gazebo, an outdoor fire pit and a dining table available for guest use.

There are two kayaks and two paddle boards supplied. Getting into the kayaks may require getting one's feet muddy for a second and then manipulating through a 50-foot shallow stream to get to the lake.

The open sleeping loft in the main cabin hosts one double bed and two single beds.

There is a separate cottage that has been turned into a "glamping" queen bedroom with chandelier and stunning views across the lake. This can be used as the main bedroom or as a second bedroom.

  • Additional Information

Guests should note that there will be a $500 hold on their credit card upon confirmation as a security deposit.

There are no pets allowed on this property. This property is also non-smoking.

Just like camping, this is a "leave no trace" home, guests must agree to take out what they brought in. That includes recyclables, so guests must take them home or to the dump prior to departure (a seven-minute drive). The host does have garbage pick-up, just not for recyclables.

Guests are asked to bring their own beach and bath towels. The host also asks that guests conserve water use; too many long showers may run the well dry for a couple hours. There is no washer or dryer on site for this reason.

Children are welcome, but please note that due to the large, wild, and wooly waterfront they must be watched closely.

This host will supply guests with a very good set of binoculars and a spotting scope for wildlife viewing. Read More
