Check out this waterfront rental for a luxury weekend getaway in Upstate NY
This historic glamping accommodation can sleep up to four guests and has a unique background. A former mill from the late 1800s, given its position along the Cooper Lake and Sawkill Streams, it has been turned into a luxury eco-friendly rental with all the original wood inside. A cedar wood deck was added onto the accommodation that juts out over the Sawkill Stream for a relaxing outdoor spot to have a meal or simply enjoy the babbling sounds of the water. Guests can even go fishing for trout in the stream right from the deck.
There are two bedrooms, each of which has a queen-size bed, and two bathrooms, one with a toilet and a shower and the other with just a toilet. The living room has an open concept and includes a television with cable, a DVD player, a docking station, and Bluetooth stereo. From the living room, guests can directly access the kitchen, as well as a see-through stairway that leads to the upstairs bedroom and half bathroom. Linens and towels are kindly provided. The fully-equipped kitchen a gas stove, a coffeemaker, a toaster oven, a blender, a microwave, an oven, a refrigerator, tableware, and cookware. There is also a washer and dryer right outside of the kitchen and a charcoal barbecue outside. A table with four chairs surrounded by large windows with great views serves as a dining area, though there is also a long work table near the kitchen.
Aside from the aforementioned deck, there is also a stone patio underneath the deck, which has steps to take guests down to the stream. A path that runs along the stream will eventually lead guests who are up for a walking adventure to a waterfall. In the summertime, glampers can even take a dip in the swimming hole or sun themselves while having a picnic lunch on the rocks by the waterfall. Other amenities include heating and air conditioning, a telephone, Wi-Fi, a hairdryer, off-street parking, and a gas fireplace. During the months of July and August, this host requires a one-week minimum stay.
