Ephrata

A borough named after a biblical town in Israel, Ephrata is a gateway to the bigger metropolis of Lancaster and Harrisburg. As such, don’t expect to find much in the borough, in regards to outdoors, aside from hearty accommodations and friendly locals. However, if you’re into history, you’ll want to visit a number of museums and historic sites in the town, including Eicher Arts Center. The center is based in the historic Eicher house and also has a Native American museum. There is also the Ephrata Fair, the largest street fair in Pennsylvania. It celebrates the harvest of farmers and happens five days every September, bringing tens of thousands of people from all over. You can visit today by checking out the selections below.
